The Durham Ball Park was established on September 16, 1994. The field was laid out and a block building to house the concession stand was built soon after for a total cost of approximately $47,000. An equipment shed was added in the year 2000 at a cost of $2,000. A new chain link was erected in 2007 at a cost of approximately $40,000. New restrooms were added in 2008 at a cost of approximately $8,000. This has been and is being paid for by fundraisers, donations and lots of hard work.

Through the years it has been the home of a Monday night co-ed softball league. Also offered each year is the youth league which plays under the rules of the Mississippi Valley League and is made up of T-Ball, Pee Wee Boys, Pee Wee Girls, Little Boys, Little Girls and Pony League.

Our ball field is considered one of the best in the area. Much of the work done to get the field in good condition and keeping it there is done by Mary and Ted Reichert, John Waterman and Terry Eisenberg. The concession stand is managed by Mary Johnson with volunteers working on game nights.
